Colombia Earthquake

Earthquake ruins

International SOS is closely monitoring the situation in Colombia following a magnitude 7.4 earthquake in Chocó Department, Colombia, on 10 August. The earthquake struck three miles (5km) east of San Jose del Palmar (Chocó). The Colombian Geological Survey has recorded aftershocks, with the strongest measuring a magnitude of 4.8.

There have been reports of significant disruption to essential services and damage to infrastructure in affected areas, and operations at several airports are reportedly suspended.
